With India’s rapid urban growth, it is common to see abandoned industrial building complexes that have outlived their former function. Also, with the country’s growing economy, the government is heavily promoting startups. This project identifies one such complex, ideally located between Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad in Gujarat, for gaining investment and avenues for developing an industry. One building from the complex is chosen for adaptive re-use into an Entrepreneurial Venture, Incubation and Liaison Center.
This center is designed as an institution that offers incubation programs for entrepreneurs with viable business ideas and enables them to develop it till it reaches a self-sustaining stage, within a defined time constraint. It aims at promoting start-ups that contribute to the larger, prominent economic sectors of the national economy.
