The site lies at the edge of Sajjangarh wildlife sanctuary, Udaipur. It acts as threshold between the city and the forest. Sajjangarh forest that exists today is a result of changes taken place over millions of rears. There have been gradual and orderly processes of change in the ecosystem brought about by progressive replacement of one community by another. This process is called ecological succession. Each stage of succession plays a crucial contribution to the forest ecosystem as it is closely interlinked. The project is designed as an experiential landscape that creates different settings or “stages of ecological succession” sequentially, allowing visitors to understand the dynamic and complex processes by having unique experience of each of the setting.
