PATISSERIE

The brief was to design a pastry shop to be used predominantly in the evening. The principal idea was to integrate storage, display & climatic response through a perforated enclosure with chunks of massy, wooden boxes floating in-between. Evening onwards, the assemblage acts as a light, perforated lantern growing upon the library below. A module of 345* 575 made of M.S. ’T’ sections is used to form the enclosure. The building is detached from the existing block and is connected using a bridge.
