THE UNDERWORLD LEARNING LAND

Creche provides a comfortable and homely environment where kids are urged to develop and grow individually. The underworld learning land is located in the old city of Ahmedabad. Due to congestion of space above the ground It is built under the ground right beside the fruit market where there are no space constraints and also gives a new experience to the user. It is especially designed to accommodate 20-25 children i.e. infants, toddlers and preschoolers and full time and part time services are offered to meet the needs of the working parents. It is a linear space with an elongated corridor with different functions arranged in different geometric shape on one side of the corridor. The corridor is 9m high and all the other spaces vary in sizes. Entire space is proposed using natural and artificial lights. The sleep area has a diffused natural light coming in. The pergolas in the play area gives a sense of partial enclosure and also allows sunlight and breezes to penetrate. The open to sky area also allows natural night and ventilation inside the place.
