Responsive Facade Design

The integration of responsive components in architecture offers the potential to enhance the experience of the building by giving expression to fleeting, changeable aspects of the environment. Responsive buildings enable a physical response to changes in the environment through specific building elements; in rare cases these responsive elements become an integral and poetic element of a culturally significant work of architecture. The building facade interacts with its neighboring environment as an active element; therefore it is unreasonable to conceive the facade as merely a dividing entity between the interior and the exterior. The envelope system of smart building can dynamically improve dwelling conditions by intelligently reacting to climate changes. The project pursues an understanding of the responsive building elements. How the building facade can actually controls the building energy efficiency. Its an approach in field of parametric architecture to find a better solution to respond the external weather conditions and eradicate the issues. Explorations with comparative analysis tools are used to analyse all the possibilities and achieve the optimum one.
