The project was based on a new technique of designing a city or an urban block through generative method of design. It mainly emphasizes on designing through parameters and fitness criteria and the fittest design outcome prevails. Urban Synthesis focuses on generating the best street pattern suitable for our site Calico Mill Land area with respect to it's adjacent land use and built form. The aim being "Integrated Local routes for smooth flow of movement for varied user groups connecting different destinations by providing choices." It creates street patterns based on the site analysis and site inferences put into it. Henceforth, I further decide the block sizes, hierarchy of streets as well as the plot sizes of new buildings.
