This studio focuses on an evidence based approach for framing and analyzing complex urban situations and problems. Course is structured by individually analyze a square kilometer precinct in Ahmedabad through various methodologies
The establishment of many institutions acts as a key to the development of this precinct. The institutional land use developed in and around Navrangpura induces the growth of residential built forms and lead to the basic infrastructure developments like roads, footpath etc. The increase in demand of dwelling units and the change in development regulations paved way for the mid-rise and high-rise buildings, that can serve the large number of people and it increases the demographic growth of the precinct. The land use, built form serves as a major factor in the demographic growth and the socio-economic behavior like income, expense, travel etc.
