River Precinct Rejuvenation at Nyara Village

Rajkot is envisioned to revive its rural - urban connections (The Rurban Connect) to establish the villages as a sustainable entity with strong infrastructure provisions and good economic development opportunities. The pilot project was at Nyara village which had potential to be developed as a bird watching site and rural tourism spot and cater to the gap of recreational spaces in RajkotThe rejuvenation project ensured cleaning of river Nyari, solid waste management in adjoining villages which contributed to the waste disposal in the river and proposal for a bird watching site at Nyara.
