KRUTIKAA SHARMA - MBEP- PASSIVE COMFORT LAB

In the Passive Comfort Lab course, we learn building physics and load calculations, passive design strategies and approaches, climate analysis, shading analysis and design. We also learn the Concepts and Practices of building physics i.e  heat transfer through conduction, convection and radiation & sun-path and are taught how to apply this learning to Solar cookers and other building case studies. We are taught psychrometric chart which helps us calculate the heating and cooling loads. Along with this we are also taught Building Energy Simulations where we simulate a model with different envelope assemblies and parameters to analyse internal heat gains and to propose a related energy conservation measure.
