This course deals with the basic of designing of steel structures emphasizing  on the basic of  material properties and its behaviour  under  the action of load acting upon. It includes two main group project of steel truss for industrial structure and steel beam grid for floor of selected building. it includes calculation of forces, selection of appropriate member and connection of members. During this course manual calculation of forces and design are taught which are recommended by Indian standards and also the software based calculations done in STAAD Pro.
