The architectural insert is envisioned to be a lightweight, frame structure of timber ( as the site is located in the Panchmahal district, which is the prime source of structural timber in Gujarat since centuries), which do not obstruct the flow of water. It adapts and evolves with respect to the changing site conditions, with varying degrees of dynamicity and fragility. The structures, forming an integrated system with the terrain, make use of the natural site processes like erosion, to create green beds under each roof, converting itself into a living herbarium.  Basalt fiber reinforcing mesh is an environment-friendly alternative to any other reinforcing mesh. It is lightweight, heat nonconductive, resistant to aggressive environment and temperature changes, and significantly cheaper than steel analogs.
