This studio was mainly aimed at designing an institutional building. Based in commercial context of Mumbai, the tall building hosted a multitude of functions. The design process was formulating our own guidelines and concept and designing the high rise according to it. In terms of response to context, the building took the role of functioning as an icon for the people of Mumbai. To relate more to the people the building needed to reflect an, identity very powerfully present in the people. The conclusion was TIME. The central atrium would contain multiple access points, multiple escalators, transparency in movement and exposed steel structural members all of which would give the perception of a fast paced space. The structural system and the service core adapted themselves according to the atrium and each individual function
