The experiment started with studying a variety of forms achieved by using ball-bearings and magnets. The forms were studied varying the height of magnets, the number of magnets and location of magnets on a grid. The type of forms we wanted to achieve were made simpler in the form of catenary curves and surfaces coming out from the same. The experiments were translated digitally, using Grasshopper to come up with spaces and voids enveloped with a surface. The variables being the number of attractors and repulsive forces and how the field lines react to them, to form a space. The output is a gallery space made of glass (9 X 9 X 9)m. The fitness criteria chosen for the experiment was maximum volume hence the space with minimum wastage is the final form.
