The aim behind the exercise was to study the cumulative effects of various sources in the GIDC at Sanand. Site visits were conducted to collect and analyse data. From the analysis, possible future impact scenarios were studied. EMP's were formulated for these scenarios under various sectors and combined in the end. This section looks at the BIODIVERSITY sector. Baseline studies for this were done. Species pertaining to Thol & Nalsarovar and in the study area were considered. Certain species have been shortlisted and their threats were analysed and subsequent EMP's have been put forth.
