 The city of Bhuj had a very vast evolutionary historic background of its lakes which is around five hundred years old. In the present scenario, the condition of deteriorating even most of the lakes have disappeared. Over the  years, the lakes have filled with municipal waste, construction  waste etc. The idea was to preserve the lakes and retain its original condition. The Desalsar and Dosrai lakes  considered as pilot project for demostration with micro (lake front, lake specific intervention ) and micro-level intervention (city level intervention awareness, Development c\Control Regulation etc.,).
