The project aims at incorporating the waste pickers in the chain of Solid Waste Management. The Solid Waste Rules 2016, perceives the part of informal sector in waste management, and stresses on building up a framework for reconciliation of these waste pickers keeping in mind the end goal to encourage their cooperation in SWM. Furthermore the project aims to adopt the best reasonable waste treatment option in context to Bhuj, which was completed by a nitty gritty correlation of both centralized and decentralized treatment facilities. It additionally underlines on accomplishing zero waste objective through zero waste centers.
