Our studio work on the Bhuj where is the Rati lake surrounded by illegal slums of Ashapura (600HH) and Samavas (150). There are issues like catchment encroached by slums, open defecation, solid waste dumping and water logging issue during monsoon  season. According to citizens of that area, during monsoon season citizens needs to migrate to another place for 2-3 months and waterlogged level up to approx. 2m. To solve the issue there is need of slum rehabilitation to recover catchment area and putting a retention wall with dugwell to recharge groundwater through seeping from the catchment.
