In order to formulate a regional level plan of Vadodara metropolitan area, sectoral analysis was done with the help of secondary data. Studying temporal trends of sectors like demography and urbanization (and others like economy, environment, infrastructure etc.) was crucial and a  part of the entire studio exercise spanning 4 months. The studio culminated with a delineated region, a vision, detailed proposed policies and objectives as well as a new development institutional setup.
