Vadodara Metropolitan Regional Planning

The purpose of the Regional Planning Lab was to prepare a Regional Plan for Vadodara Metropolitan area. The initial stages included understanding the scope of the study, and working upon the individual sectors. The major purpose of focusing on Environment and Natural resources was to understand the existing development pressure on the resources, and take them in further consideration to avoid any damage in future. The study proved to be very important while delineating the region and forming the Vision and Strategies as part of the Regional Plan.
As an Individual, in the first phase, I was involved in gathering data base and analyzing the sector ‘Natural Resources and Environment’, while a few other sectors were considered by my fellow mates.
