Shahpur ward has a total population of 1,34,576 and has a diverse and organic nature. Our task was to study the nature and the people of the ward and make a consolidated plan keeping in mind all the forces affecting the development . It was observed that even though the roads were present their condition was not upto the mark and there was no connectivity to riverfront which is acting as a catalyst for development. Also the building development was regulated to ensure public open spaces are carved out wherever possible.
