Paldi has a very strategic location in Ahmedabad. It is attached with the upcoming CBD to the North of the site, the proposed metro rail project and the river front development. Thus, all these offers tremendous potential to develop the site further. Taking into account the issues and the potentials a vision was arrived at. To fulfill this vision specific objectives were identified which were further detailed out as projects that could help in achieving the aim of the vision. In the end a very basic costing was prepared for the various planned projects and a timeline for the possible start and completion of the various projects was made. The Project is divided in various sections with detailed description of each. It aims at providing a complete picture of the ward and the related issues so as to better elaborate the proposals.

Paldi being an important ward, it is required to plan while linking the local needs with the future aspirations of the Development plan. The D.P. has planned a TOD zone in the area, providing a blanket development all over the city. thus, it is very important to understand if TOD is going to further develop in the area. The total area of the ward is 5.6 sq km. As per census 2011, the population of the ward is 83, 109 with a gross density of 14, 840 p/sq km (148 pph). As per Development Plan 2021
