The aim of the Area Planning Lab was to develop a Comprehensive Ward plan for the Chandkheda ward in Ahmedabad. Interventions were proposed based on the requirement of the ward & its stakeholders, envisioning the ward’s development. The Proposals were given for a) enabling organized and sustainable development on vacant & existing areas and b) to improve the quality of life and support redevelopment in gamtal by augmenting and improving public and street infrastructure. Along with these, there were other proposals involving a) Regulations for supporting transit supportive development around SH 41 and SH 71, b) Improvement of living conditions of the urban poor settlements and c) Ensuring improved infrastructure and basic services across the ward.
