The central objective of the studio was to make a ward level comprehensive development plan. As a group, we were allotted Jamalpur ward, which is located in the core city of Ahmedabad. Jamalpur is an integral part of the walled city of Ahmedabad and known for its strong heritage value due to the presence of renowned heritage monuments. The vision was to leverage the existing scenario and improve the quality of life. The strategies were based on improving the core planning components of land use, transport and infrastructure and heritage.
