Main issue of many cities during monsoon seasons is water logging on streets and low lying areas. And 63% of people in Chandkheda report water logging problems. Area near North east which is still developing and south west portions are low lying areas and where problems is noticed mostly. The main reason behind water accumulating at certain points is due to disturbing natural streams with built form. Because of plinth level of several houses is lower than the road R.L. the water logging is a major issue and it will directly or indirectly affect the infrastructure. Contour analysis and D.E.M. are the tools which are used to identify the low laying areas. Low laying areas on the west side portion of SH-41 are more developed then east side. So in newly developing areas the same issue should not takes place.
