“It was an excellent experience of learning by doing!” The students at Studio had so much energy, enthusiasm, with their cheerfulness & collaborative team spirit, to learn the new dimensions beyond “Conventional Land use Planning”. It was an exercise in designing a solution for real time resource sharing in form of an “Application” The studio was an introductory exercise on the principles of Urban planning and how the information in the different layers could be visualized for example carpooling by choosing the best routes and using land efficiently or Water Quality Mapping. Besides the two deliverables, the exercise is a message on “Resource Planning” What then? The conclusion is then beyond the design studio on “Resource Sharing” but a call for a more direct & immediate action to be taken regarding the issues of scarce resources like land & water. “Think Globally, Focus regionally, Act Locally”- As guided by our mentor Dr.Anjana Vyas
