Mehtab Bagh a historical char bagh complex located opposite to Taj Mahal Complex, on the northern flood plains of river Yamuna was once a chosen site for Black Taj, a mausoleum for Shah Jahan but unfortunately the planned project never got built and site got covered in heap of sand till present. The competition brief sets a twist time challenge where if this project is realised today to be build then what it could be or what it should be. The approach here taken as the proposal is an environmental conservation approach where black is the black water of Yamuna.
