The Project explores the different hyperbolic forms generated by the logical arrangement of linkages between different tensile lycra membranes, where each frame is bound within a one sized square frame, to achieve a double curve system.The experiments start with the test of the stretching property of the lycra membrane while observing the changes within two surfaces by playing with different arrangements of connections between the surfaces. The various observations and parameters identified ruled the path of the experiments. The most suitable form of connection used is circular in shape and it has been explored in different numbers, sizes, groups and distances between them. Experiments included the linking of multiple surfaces. Different hyperbolic curved surfaces are achieved by separating the membranes with spacers while keeping two corners of adjacent membranes fixed so as to attain more stability in the whole system. Towards the end of the experiments it is perceived that large double curved systems can be controlled and manipulated with the logical arrangementof the linking pattern of the aggregated membranes. The inferences obtained from the last experiments, where a stable-framed system of double curved surfaces is achieved, is intended for future developments and explorations of the project.Future proceedings will include more complex joineries between different frames, the frame sizes as well as variation in membrane material.
