A detailed study of the Service Operations of India Post was done where the processes and specific roles of different entities associated were understood. A case study on Blue Dart Aviation was conducted where the same processes of the private counterpart was studied. A comparison was drawn to understand the flaws and scope for improvements in India Post. Based on the comparison proposals were drawn which stressed on improving the service quality, efficiency and also to enhance the brand image of the service which will in turn focus on making India Post the most preferred service by the customers.
