Maninagar | Rethinking Storm Water Management

After an extensive study of Maninagar, we re-examined the notion of its stormwater management. Maninagar lies in the developed region of Ahmedabad with 100% coverage of Stormwater and Sewerage networks. However over the years with the increase in development the existing infrastructure is stressed, at the same time it is seen that there is a decrease in the groundwater table and the lakes in the region have become unsustainable. In this study we considered Maninagar to be a Pilot Project with an idea of rethinking the different attributes of stormwater runoff generated and providing an integrated solution to handle it.
