Vasna lies along the bank of Sabarmati River. The channelized formal landscape and naturally flowing riverine landscape is evidently seen. Although the river has proven to be an asset to the city yet it acts as a backyard of Vasna, the river beyond Vasna barrage is deteriorating at a rapid rate due to the specific kind of human intervention. The proposals emphasise in establishing a symbiotic relationship between the river and the ward by repairing reviving the river leading to engaging people in economic and social activities. Hence the river can successfully act as a catalyst in transformation of Vasna.
