Ahmedabad's Vasna ward is known for its diversity as well as disparity. Vasna's almost 1/4th Population stays in Informal Settlements, while it occupies just 5% of the total Land of the Ward. There’s a divide between the formal housing and informal housing in the ward, and the objective here was to achieve an equity in the housing sector. This was done by Improving Housing Conditions and Creating Inclusive communities. Hence, Housing was taken as a tool to reduce the Social Inequity in the ward.
