The aim of the studio was to understand the importance of planning as a function that balances the needs of people, conflicting interests, and efficient public systems, with the broad goals of enhanced livability, sustainability and social equity. The learnings have been that the existing physical and administrative policies have created isolated land parcels and islands within the area. A regional level intervention necessitates the strengthening of existing networks within and outside the area. The projected influx of people stimulates a multi-dimensional growth and metamorphoses based on demand. It has taught to draw planning principles based on understanding of activities and their feasibilty.
