As the vision of the group was to make Ahmedabad Water sensitive, it was essential to look into the technical inefficiencies of the supply system. Therefore the extent of non-revenue water was identified as one of the major issues. In the exercise, estimations were made for the physical losses at different stages of the system through secondary and primary data collection. Thereafter, necessary interventions were recommended to reduce the NRW to meet the service level benchmark and increase the cost recovery of the ULB in this sector.
