A semi-arid city Ahmedabad has 55% of stormwater network coverage for an average annual rainfall of 800mm. It has a huge potential of utilizing this rainfall efficiently. But the city is predominately facing waterlogging issue due to underutilization of the rainfall as a resource though it has 100days of average annual rainy days. Hence to check this major issue Storm Water Management along Transit Corridors is important, as the majority of these waterlogging areas are overlaid on them.
