The project for this semester was a detailed feasibility study freight movement and the whole system functioning in city of Surat. The aim was to get equipped for understanding feasibility of projects related to urban freight for the city of Surat with the following objectives of viz: understanding the need and role of a detailed feasibility report in a planning process while assessing for alternative proposals and developing skillsets to do alternate analysis in terms of financial and economic for the four projects that have been detailed out in this semester. A comprehensive plan was made to represent the proposals in form of following 4 projects, that are: Operations centre, Consolidation- Distribution centre, Road improvement project and Intelligent transportation system project.
