About the studio: The Studio focuses on infill development triggered by the metro corridor. It assessing the impacts of Metro corridor in the city and accordingly propose intervention as development models and policy. The need for Local Area Plan: Cities are developing at a fast pace, to cater to this growth cities look at mass transit system. TOD policies are made for the mass transit system to bridge the gap between accessibility and the need. TOD policies often function alone and end up not utilizing the full potential of a Transit corridor and hence the need for LAP arises. Our approach is iterative where we look at the importance of both Top-down and Bottom-up Approach.
