Neighbourhood Design - The Third Place Concept

In the existing neighbourhood analysing the activities and the interdependency of different people, the first impression of the site was people within their boundaries and territories. This generated need for people to interact and develop social connections with each other. Hence applying the concept of third place, various connection throughout the site were derived. This included public space design, street design, pedestrian connections, different nodes for interaction, developing mixed use neighbourhood, space for informal activities which are need of our day to day life. All these spaces will act as third place, home away from home. Thus creating opportunities for people from different background to interact on daily basis.
