Vertical Studio-Traditional Knowledge and Sustainable Design
Indigenous communities have a tacit understanding of their natural environment, passed on as traditional ecological knowledge. This studio will explore ways of documenting and mapping this knowledge of building design, and reinterpreting them in the contemporary context of environmental design. Students will design a School in Dhrangadhra, an erstwhile princely town near Little Rann of Kachchh.
