To determine the percent of lateral loads to be taken by the shear walls and to design the shear wall and foundation.Effect of shear wall on the building-Shear wall prevents lateral loads generated from earthquake or wind loads with minimum deflection due to it’s large in-plane stiffness.Possible Solution- Designing of shear wall will be carried out as per clause 9 of IS 13920-1993
