A rigorous mapping exercise of the CEPT campus resulted in the discovery of the trio of- “learning, referencing and making!” The enquiry called for an intervention wherein their marriage was cohesively possible. One also observed that inter-departmental movements within the campus were very rare and happened only occasionally. This point of observation was considered to be an important question as a purpose for the design intervention. Thus, one started identifying the multi-valent spaces in all the faculties connecting each of them to set up an 'architectural promenade'.The 'architectural promenade' is a movement generated interconnection which looks at design education as a continuous learning process. This interconnection, wherein the destination i.e. the seminar room in each faculty, would be a multidisciplinary space to fodder design education. The continuity of this promenade into the design intervention would integrate the making and referencing spaces as a part of the promenade while having seminar rooms to promote multi-disciplinary learnings.
