Neighbourhood Public ParkThe site which is situated in Sinnar, Nashik primarily has a population of low-income group, where average families work in small industries and some are engaged in farming activities in the vicinity. Also site being in close proximity to two public schools , low income residential societies as well as farms and one of the tourist attraction , which is Gondeshvar temple It is observed that there aren’t many open public spaces or gardens or parks nearby in the area, apart from one Children Park which is not in a good shape. Considering schools, a tourist attraction nearby and diversity of communities of the area, it is defiantly clear that sinner lacks any quality open public space, where all these communities can be gathered and interactions are made possible with nature Also considering the existing lake on site, once known as Surya lake, which has lost its charm and is misused by locals with activities such as washing clothes and grazing on site, is little disheartening. Bringing people together at one platform where they can come closer to the lake , and giving back its value, will be main focus Design will make them appreciate Nature, natural elements and ecology of the existing Surya lake, which is losing its charm and provide an interactive space for all kinds of user groups Hence the proposal for the site is to create city level Public Park which will focus on connecting all kinds of people through interactive activities, bring them near to lake and give them a leisure space which provides an experiential landscape G a t h e r ...............I n t e r a c t ..............R e l a x ................. E x p e r i e n c e...............E n j o y Benefits of the park to people and surrounding This will be an interactive platform and an open gathering space for all, which will bring them near to the pond. the park will have experiential spaces and children will be exposed to outdoor activities Park’s design will be inspired from existing natural features of the site using natural elements and wide varieties native species, making it low Maintenance Park The park will try to bring the whole different feel of space from surrounding through planting and experiential landscape design     Vista points and pause points will make visitors appreciate Use of native species as well as exotic species will create various experiences while walking through various spaces within the park. Species which react to seasons will add beauty to the site  Concept:
Enclosed tree avenues which suddenly opens and leads to the lake view, add sense of surprise or sudden revelation- focus goes to lake Park which will provide various spatial experiences while exploring the whole place by using plants as focal points in different seasons, which will act as markers within the park and will create focal points , is the main concept of planting Focal points shifts through seasons
