Usmanpura riverfront park, which is a part of Sabarmati riverfront Development is quite unique in comparison to the other city parks due to its location which is adjacent to the river. It is a linear park with maximum central space as open for multipurpose activities clipped with shrubs paired with low height trees at the sides. The existing design serves very well as a public park with the amalga mation of the recreational activities like kids play area, open gymming space, ferry service at the lower promenade, eateries and bicycle riding. There are 5 such parks with similar amenities on the riverfront stretch, which serves to attract people. The idea is to create a recreational area which is a welcome escape route for the city dwellers. It is a buffer zone within the city premises in which elders and youngsters can indulge in their respective activity zones. Special care has been put in selecting the flora and fauna to enrich the experience of the visitors.
