Its 2025, all above spaces are filled up. So, Ahmedabad city is looking for underground spaces. Simultaneously technology at its highest point with growing popularity of e-books, it is becoming rare to find hard books making it a historical treasure which needs to be preserved well and encouraged. Being treasure to the city, AMC is planning to go for an underground community library for general public to provide a comfortable environment (by having cool atmosphere) encouraging people to know, read and learn. To give experience by creating private underground space yet connected to outside nature. In my design the key factor is to give big volume and nature connect because there is a fact that which I read that “The human mind is naturally predisposed to fear underground spaces, which it associates with dark, small, cavernous environments and a danger of being buried alive.”
