The Reader’s Club is designed for the residents of Bodakdev where based on membership, the user can read and work in a silent envoirnment, be a part of book meetings and readings and get a chance to interact with other users from the locality. For this project, transparency is taken as a concept because in visual terms, transparency can be used as a means of facilitating active interaction amongst the users. It is used both phenomenally and literally by making the spaces and design elements permeable and porous to achieve the said goal.
