CL'AFE - A Place Where Clay Meets Cafe

ABOUT CL’AFE : CL’AFE is a place where clay meets cafe. There is a small pottery shop inside the cafe which sells four different types of pottery.
Design Approach: The retail shop is kept in middle of the cafe and is placed on a raised platform to show hierarchy and dinning area is placed facing display units from all three sides. The space is divided into four parts. Taking four different types of pottery the retail space and cafe dinning area is divided into four different zones for four different experiences in the space. The types of pottery are chosen in such a way that two of them are subtle i.e. lakhu fired pottery and subtle pottery and other two are colorful i.e. Jaipur blue pottery and mosaic pottery. The four different experiences are created using partitions, furniture, colors, lights and display units but still the place is connected by its common flat ceiling and flooring.
