Kinetic Tessellation

In this project, a computer aided kinetic façade is explored and developed for a cultural center in New Delhi. Inspired from tessellatic patterns, various tessellated geometries were explored and the most suitable one to achieve a desired kinetic movement for the façade was selected. The selected location and building demanded certain conditions, like controlled daylight and radiation, and these factors were approached and studied using appropriate software. The analysis helped us to create an elegant yet smart and performative façade system which improves the thermal performance and efficiency of a building.
