As a primary site of access to the rail network and with a major daily and annual footfall, it is of prime importance that Railway Stations be maintained well for user satisfaction and to prevent public health issues. There are detailed schedules and practices that have been formulated by the Indian Railways that if implemented would go a long way in creating the preferred environment. This project looked into current practices in passenger interface areas, and suggests interventions to alter user behaviour, improve standard operating procedure, and streamline supervision.
