The Urban Management foundation studio aims to develop an understanding of the basic utility services that are present in a built environment. The project is to manage and improve the existing facilities of the township. The site, Gokuldham Township, is located on a highway from Ahmedabad towards Sanand, which is an Industrial hub. The utilities that were chosen for an in-depth study were Solid Waste Management and Last Mile Connectivity within the township. First, the existing conditions on site were observed, the next step involved was, identifying the issues in the said systems and then finally working out an improvement plan with the financial and management aspects being incorporated in the same.
