Objective: To improve the service and operations management of the International Terminal (land side part) for better user experience by reducing waiting time for each process and provide better infrastructure to match the airport standards.
Proposal: For immigration and security hold area, minor change in the layout of immigration counters for defined pathway for domestic users was proposed. Also, Queue management during peak hour and non-peak hour was suggested. In Security check additional infrastructure in form of extended input and output table was proposed for baggage scanning, to reduce waiting time. Also, latest technology automated tray retrieval system has been proposed for faster security check.
Better signage were proposed at different locations to provide way finding and to avoid confusion at SHA area.
