EIA aims to predict environmental impacts at an early stage in project planning and design, find ways and means to reduce adverse impacts, shape projects to suit the local environment and present the predictions and options to decision-makers. The pressure on environment due to construction activities are more when viewed from a wider angle. Only single project cannot do justice to the impact Assessment. The effect of a project on the environment may not be fully represented by the individual project components. In many cases, individual projects or project components produce environmental effects that are not significant. However, when combined with the effects of other project components or other projects and activities, these small effects may become a concern, as they may cause a cumulative effect. They are usually neither measured nor accounted for before they cause significant damage through accumulation. Environmental impacts often accumulate over time, therefore it is necessary to have a clear focus on time frames within cumulative impact assessment
